John Stansfield

Dr. John Stansfield has been a professor at University of Missouri teaching a diverse portfolio of Finance courses since 2001. His most important contribution to the Trulaske College of Business has been getting the college recognized by the CFA Institute as a Partner School since 2007. This has been an enormous benefit to the students.

In his personal life, Dr. Stansfield has been married for 32 years to Julie Stansfield, MD. Together they have two adult sons, Adam and Henry, and their family is expected to grow soon with Adam’s recent engagement.

Besides family and campus life, Dr. Stansfield is actively engaging in Boy Scouts of America.  He has earned two distinguished service awards from Boy Scouts of America: The Silver Beaver Award and the ¡Scouting!…Vale la Pena! Service Award. He also continues to serve as Vice President of Fiscal Advisory for Area 5 of the Central Region of the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He also serves as the Philmont Ambassador for the Great Rivers Council, taking boy scouts on two-week hikes each summer in the Rocky Mountains.
